Roadtrip: Final film project

Yesterday I went on a roadtrip to help one of my classmates, Kristjana, out with the shoot for her final project and got the chance to shoot my final film project while there.
We drove from Reykjavík around 10 am after going shopping for food and picking up the hardcore-as-hell model, Hrund (more on that later).

The weather was sooo great when we drove from Reykjavík and I was so grateful to have decided to shoot for a landscaping film project as well, all the contrast in Iceland was with us that day. Or in the beginning at least.
We drove and we drove and scheduled arrival at destination Reynisfjara was ar 14 because of light and tides.
We actually got there around that time because of all of our stops taking photos and using restrooms. Reynisdrangar were beautiful, I have never been there before but seen photos and it did not disappoint. The weather had gotten slightly worse though, it was super windy by the coast and pretty cold as well.
I helped Kristjana to put up the set up and find the right angle, the wind kept blowing in whatever direction.

Kristjana had to run back to the car so I started to shoot on the Hasselblad I had with me and it looked great! But as I was shooting Hrund tells me there is a bus parking behind me. She is standing there in a super thin dress as a bus of Japanese tourist start overflowing the background of the shoot. It was all very surreal and silly.

They didn't give us much thought but ran all around the coast snapping photos, they even got so close to the sea I could almost see the tides dragging them under.
They soon got back on the bus and Kristjana was able to start shooting.
Hrund is a total rockstar because she didn't make a sound until we got back to the car and she said how cold she was.

We called it a wrap and drove to Vík where a friend of mine told me he once had the best burger he ever tasted so I had to try and I have to say it came pretty darn close.
After the stop in Vík we drove back to get to Seljalandsfoss before it got pitch black dark.

Everything went great but we were exhausted when it was done. I went to school this morning and developed my film and made a contact sheet (seen below) and have got to get to bed soon because tomorrow is going to be soooo long. I am graduating from Fashion Academy Reykjavík and am pretty excited about it!
